【摘要】:1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationoftherefractiveindexandthespecificopticaldispersionofelectricalinsulatingliquidssuchasareusedincapacitors,transformers,circuitbreakers,andoil-filledcables.1.2Twotestmethodsaredescribed,aroutinemethodandamorepreciserefereemethod.Bothmethodsareapplicabletotransparent,light-colored,insulatingliquids.1.2.1Theroutinemethodisusedtodeterminerefractiveindexandspecificopticaldispersionasdescribedinthesetestmethods.1.2.2Therefereemethodisusedwhenatestofhighaccuracyisdesired.ThesemethodsaredescribedinTestMethodD1218.SpecificopticaldispersioniscalculatedbydividingtherefractivedispersionvaluedeterminedinTestMethodD1218bytherelativedensity(specificgravity)(seeTestMethodD1298)oftheliquidundertest.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
