【摘要】:ThisOutlineofInvestigationcoverssupplementaryrequirementsforcommunicationcircuitpacksandshelveswithremotefeedingtelecommunicationcircuitsintendedforbackwardscompatibilitywithframes,shelvesandbackplanes.Theequipmentcoveredislimitedtothatwhichformspartofatelecommunicationnetworkuptoandincludingthedemarcationpoint.Thecircuitryassociatedwiththistypeofequipmentisintendedtobeinstalledandlocatedinserviceaccessareasonly,whichmayormaynotbeprovidedbytheequipmenthousing.ThisequipmentisgenerallyconsideredCentralOfficeEquipment,thoughitmaybedeployedelsewhereinsimilarlycontrolledenvironments.ThisOutlinesupplementsUL60950,Thirdedition,becauseoftheneedforbackwardscompatibilityofnewequipmentwithequipmentalreadyinstalledintheexistingtelecommunicationsinfrastructure.Inparticular,spacingsassociatedwithconnectorsandsimilarinterfacesthatarepartoftheinstalledbaseareincompatiblewithUL60950basedontheexistingworkingvoltages.Certaintypesofequipmenthaveprovidedvoltagebiasedcircuitryformanyyearswhicharedirectedwithinthetelecommunicationnetwork.Thesehigh-voltagesareutilizedtopowersignalrepeatersandremoteterminalequipmentwhereACpowercannotberelieduponforoperationduetothetremendousdowntimepresentwithACutilityfunctionality.Thecircuitsarenotusedincustomeraccessibleareaswhereaccidentalcontactwouldpresentapotentialhazard.Networkservicepersonnelareconsideredtobeawareoftheapparenthazardsassociatedwiththistypeofcircuitry.Examplesofequipmentrequiringbackwardscompatibilityare:~Circuitpacksorcardswithexistingornewtechnologiesdesignedtobeinstalledintoshelfassembliesthatformpartofaserviceprovider'sexistinginfrastructure;~Shelfassembliesintendedasreplacementsforexistingshelfassembliesmountedinframeline-upsthatformpartofaserviceprovider'sexistinginfrastructure;and~Shelfassembliesorenclosuresintendedasreplacementsforexistingserviceproviderinfrastructureequipmentthatarerequiredtobecompatiblewithcardsorcircuitpacksalreadyinservice.

【摘要】:ThisOutlineofInvestigationcoverssupplementaryrequirementsforcommunicationcircuitpacksandshelveswithremotefeedingtelecommunicationcircuitsintendedforbackwardscompatibilitywithframes,shelvesandbackplanes.Theequipmentcoveredislimitedtothatwhichformspartofatelecommunicationnetworkuptoandincludingthedemarcationpoint.Thecircuitryassociatedwiththistypeofequipmentisintendedtobeinstalledandlocatedinserviceaccessareasonly,whichmayormaynotbeprovidedbytheequipmenthousing.ThisequipmentisgenerallyconsideredCentralOfficeEquipment,thoughitmaybedeployedelsewhereinsimilarlycontrolledenvironments.ThisOutlinesupplementsUL60950,Thirdedition,becauseoftheneedforbackwardscompatibilityofnewequipmentwithequipmentalreadyinstalledintheexistingtelecommunicationsinfrastructure.Inparticular,spacingsassociatedwithconnectorsandsimilarinterfacesthatarepartoftheinstalledbaseareincompatiblewithUL60950basedontheexistingworkingvoltages.Certaintypesofequipmenthaveprovidedvoltagebiasedcircuitryformanyyearswhicharedirectedwithinthetelecommunicationnetwork.Thesehigh-voltagesareutilizedtopowersignalrepeatersandremoteterminalequipmentwhereACpowercannotberelieduponforoperationduetothetremendousdowntimepresentwithACutilityfunctionality.Thecircuitsarenotusedincustomeraccessibleareaswhereaccidentalcontactwouldpresentapotentialhazard.Networkservicepersonnelareconsideredtobeawareoftheapparenthazardsassociatedwiththistypeofcircuitry.Examplesofequipmentrequiringbackwardscompatibilityare:~Circuitpacksorcardswithexistingornewtechnologiesdesignedtobeinstalledintoshelfassembliesthatformpartofaserviceprovider'sexistinginfrastructure;~Shelfassembliesintendedasreplacementsforexistingshelfassembliesmountedinframeline-upsthatformpartofaserviceprovider'sexistinginfrastructure;and~Shelfassembliesorenclosuresintendedasreplacementsforexistingserviceproviderinfrastructureequipmentthatarerequiredtobecompatiblewithcardsorcircuitpacksalreadyinservice.
